The Lab Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026 Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Isaiah Fleetwood ("we," "us," or "our") collects, how that information is collected, used, shared, and protected, and what choices you may have when you use The Lab website, mobile application, and related services (together, the "Service").
You can find details about personal information collected in connection with athletes under 13 in the Children section.
Accounts
Players 13 and older may have their own login. In the closed pilot, for a player 13 to 17, we create that account only after a parent or legal guardian has signed the parent consent document. That signature is how the parent agrees to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy on the athlete's behalf.
Information We Collect
Account and profile information
- Email address, name, and role (coach, parent or guardian, or player).
- Team affiliation for coaches, players, and parents.
- For players: age tier, sport, and optional avatar, jersey number, position, or stick hand.
Information about other people
In some cases, you may provide information to us about other people, such as athletes and family members. This may occur when you create a profile, upload game video, add Lab Notes, or send Lab Reviews.
Content
- Game video you upload.
- Lab Notes: notes a coach or parent adds to a moment in a game video.
- Lab Reviews: what a coach or parent sends to a player, and replies to those Lab Reviews.
Analytics
We use analytics services, including mobile analytics software, to help us understand, and improve how the Service is being used.
- Adult coach and parent accounts, and players 13 and older with their own login: we use an analytics service (PostHog) to understand how the Service is used. Analytics are tied to your account identifier. You can opt out in Profile → Privacy & data → Help Improve The Lab.
- Under-13 activity: we do not run a third-party analytics tool on a child's activity, or when an adult is acting as a child. We understand under-13 usage only through our own systems, as aggregate counts that are not tied to any child identifier.
Crash reports
We may receive application state and crash log information which will help us debug and improve the Service. We use crash reporting (Sentry).
Device information
Operating system, application version, build number, and persistent identifiers such as a device identifier and Internet Protocol (IP) address.
We do not use web cookies, web tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers.
Security and safety logs
Records related to the security and safety of the Service.
Children
Athletes under thirteen (13) do not have their own login. Only a parent or legal guardian may create a profile for an athlete under thirteen (13). If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from an individual under thirteen (13) from anyone other than that person's parent or legal guardian, we will delete that information.
In the closed pilot, a parent or legal guardian signs a consent document before we create an under-13 profile. We do not create that profile unless the parent signs. Signing that document is how the parent gives verifiable parental consent.
We do not condition participation in our Service on disclosure of more personal information from a child under 13 years of age than is reasonably necessary for that participation, and we do not retain personal information from children under 13 years of age longer than is reasonably necessary in order to fulfill the purpose for which it was disclosed.
After we receive parental consent, we will collect the following information: the profile details the parent provides, and persistent identifiers such as a device identifier and Internet Protocol (IP) address. We do not collect game video, voice, or drawings from the child. We use that information to provide the Service and to support our internal operations necessary to maintain and analyze the functioning of the Service, perform network communications, protect the security or integrity of users, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
We may disclose personal information we collect from children as described in How We Share Information. However, unless we have your express consent, we do not sell or share that information with third parties for their own purposes, including with marketing and advertising partners.
We do not use a third-party analytics tool on under-13 activity. PostHog is not used on under-13 activity or when an adult is acting as a child.
If you are a parent or guardian of a user of our Service who is under 13 years of age, you may contact us at any time to ask that (a) we stop collecting personal information about such user, (b) we delete any personal information already collected about such user (although note that we may further retain information in an anonymous or aggregated form where that information would not identify such user personally), or (c) we stop disclosing personal information collected about such user to third parties, but continue to allow for collection and use of personal information collected about such user in connection with the Service.
To exercise any of these rights, or to send general inquiries, parents can contact our support team by emailing support@dominatethelab.com or calling (972) 885-9762.
We collect children's personal information to provide the Service and to support our internal operations necessary to maintain and analyze the functioning of the Service, perform network communications, protect the security or integrity of users, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance. We retain personal information collected from your child for as long as the account is active and needed to provide the Service, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, unless longer retention is required by applicable law. When an account is deleted, profile details for an athlete under 13 are permanently deleted after 30 days.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide, operate, administer, support, secure, and improve the Service; to provide customer support; to communicate with you; to maintain security and prevent fraud or misuse; to meet our legal obligations; and to enforce our terms and agreements.

We may disclose your personal information to other users of the Service. Profile information such as name, avatar, role, jersey number, position, and stick hand is visible to members of your team and to linked users, such as a player's coach or parent or guardian. Content such as game video, Lab Notes, and Lab Reviews is visible to the coaches, players, and parents or guardians on the relevant team or review.
We may also disclose your personal information to other parties if we believe it necessary or appropriate either: (a) under applicable law; (b) to protect our operations and those of any of our affiliates; (c) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and those of others; or (d) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit damages that we may sustain.
We may be involved in the sale, transfer or reorganization of some or all of our business at some time in the future. As part of that sale, transfer or reorganization, we may disclose your personal information to the acquiring organization, however, we require the acquiring organization to agree to protect the privacy of your personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Content you upload may be used to advertise and promote The Lab as described in our Terms of Service.
Retention of Personal Information
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, as set out in this Privacy Policy, including to provide and support the Service and to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, unless longer retention is required by applicable law. We also retain information when necessary to comply with contractual and legal obligations, when we have a legitimate business interest to do so (such as improving and developing the Service, and enhancing its safety, security, and stability), and for the exercise or defense of legal claims.
Content sent between users, including game video used to send a Lab Review, is retained as a record of that communication.
We may put personal information in an aggregated, de-identified, pseudonymized, or anonymized form for statistical, research, development, security, or service-improvement purposes without time limits, where that information is no longer associated with an identifiable individual. If we do so, such information will no longer be personal information subject to this Privacy Policy.
Security and safety logs are kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes above.
Your Choices
You (or, for an athlete under 13, the parent or legal guardian) may contact us at support@dominatethelab.com or (972) 885-9762 to review personal information, correct it, or ask us to delete it.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile information and any other content you provide in your profile (such as your name, email address, role, and avatar). Information that you have shared with others, others have shared about you, or content other users may have copied and stored, is not part of your account and may not be deleted when you delete your account.
We may deny a deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:
- Provide the Service that you requested.
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
- Comply with a legal obligation.
Adult coach and parent accounts, and players 13 and older with their own login, can turn analytics off in Profile → Privacy & data → Help Improve The Lab. Under-13 activity is not sent to a third-party analytics tool.
Communications
A parent or legal guardian can, at all times, see every communication on the Service involving their athlete under 18, including Lab Reviews and replies.
Security
We maintain reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, and loss or corruption by computer viruses and other sources of harm.
State and International Disclosures
The Service is offered to users in the United States.
We do not sell personal information.
As required by California Online Privacy Protection Act ("CalOPPA"), we are required to inform you that, as is the case with most websites, we do not honor or alter our behavior when a user has activated the "do-not-track" setting on her/his browser.
If you are visiting the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will typically be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will govern our use of your information and will always be available at https://dominatethelab.com/privacy. We will notify you about material changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on the Service.
